# Battle Royale Specifics

### Overview

Players drop into the match in places that they choose on the matchmaking screen.

The match ends when there's only one player/team left.

### Melee Weapons

All players start the match with a melee weapon. Though players can change the Melee weapon they start with from their Collection, all melee weapons are functionally the same, meaning these are only different from a cosmetic point of view.

### Guns

In Blast Royale there are several guns that can be found. These range from close combat weapons like a Shotgun to explosive area of effect weapons like a Rocket Launcher.

The current selection of weapons you can find on this page: <https://fundimension.gitbook.io/blast-royale/game-overview/gameplay/guns>

### Golden guns

There's a chance to get a golden version of a gun when you open a crate in a match. Golden guns deal 20% more damage.

### Other loot

Around the map you can find Special Abilities pickups and Shields, Health and Ammo consumables

Green crates drop you consumables, specials and guns, with a chance that the gun will be golden

Airdrop Crate also drops you consumables, specials and guns, but a change for the golden gun is higher. It also has a higher chance for certain guns and special abilities
