# Coins

Coins are "soft"-currency.

You can obtain coins by:

* Buy in the in-game Shop
* Get from Blast Pass
* Get by increasing Fame level
* A chance to get Coins from a crate in a match
* Win in Leaderboard competitions
* Win in events and activities in our Discord and other social channels

Coins are needed to:

* Purchase items from the in-game shop such as
  * Characters (Skins)
  * Melee Weapons
  * Animations
  * Avatars
  * Gliders
  * Flags
  * etc.
